Beautiful Biloxi

Beautiful Biloxi

So you’ve got your room, got your tourney buy-in cash, got your lucky card protector ready – what’s left? Well, if you’re like us, you’ll not want to make the trip to Biloxi alone. Every trip is more fun when you’ve got someone to share the driving duties, fight over the iPod selections, and keep you company as you wait for a new table to open up. Plus if you have someone with you then whenever you have a bad beat story to tell, you’re guaranteed an audience.

Maybe you’re a little short on poker buddies though. Perhaps you’re the only person in your crew who likes to play. [It's rare, but sometimes happens!] Or maybe your girlfriend just isn’t very keen on the idea of you taking off for Spring Break to Biloxi to play poker; leaving her behind at home to fiend for herself. Well, you’re in luck my friend. There is A LOT more to Biloxi than just the poker. That may be what draws you, but there is plenty to keep your friends occupied while you’re going deep.

First and foremost of course is the beach. Miles of sand and ocean spread out before you offering a variety of activities – everything from laying around and soaking up sun to some of the best sportfishing in the Gulf. It’s everything Spring Break was designed for.

The Beau Rivage is also home to one of the finest golf courses in the country – Fallen Oak, a 510 acre Tom Fazio course. Consistently ranked one of the top courses, Fallen Oak is sure to win over the golf lover in your group. (And you!)

A fun event each spring is Smokin’ The Sound; an awesome power boat race featuring boats hitting speeds up to 150mph. For just $10 you can get a wristband that will get you in to the action. The course path for these boats runs right by the Beau Rivage.

This is just a sampling of the great variety of options you have when visiting Biloxi. If you’ve got friends on the fence about coming out, assure them that even as you make it to tournament play all through the night, they won’t be bored. Tire them out at the beach or golf course during the day, take them for a great meal, and then put ‘em to bed while you head to the poker room and do a little “fishing” of your own.
