The Seven Card Stud/ Stud 8 mix event attracted 50 players buying in for $340. The event would pay out the final table and the winner getting $5,236. From beginning to end, the players proved to be expert in the mixed game ring!

Within a few minutes of reaching the final table, Jim Lewis found himself all-in with very little to draw to. His pocket 3’s in the hole were no good to Kirk Flom’s pair of queens made on 5th street. Jim could never recover and was done in 8th place earning $582.

Still in straight stud, Al Green got into a betting battle with the A-7 (5-5) versus the Q-2 (5-Q) of Kirk Flom. Once the dust settled on the table, neither hand improved and Al Green was sent to the rail in 7th place earning $728.

Kimberly Bye got in a raising battle with Bob Binsky with a J showing to Binsky’s 10h. The cards were exposed with Kimberly holding another J in the hole and Binsky had the flush draw with the 7-h. Once the river card was dealt, Kimberly still only held the J’s and Binsky turned over the 6h for the flush. Kimberly Binsky finished 6th earning $873.

Michael Sbrocco finally put his last chip in holding 4-K-9 (6-6) versus the 10-A-8 (10-3) of Michael Ferguson. Neither hand would improve and Michael Sbrocco finished 5th earning $1,019.

After Sbrocco was dispatched, the remaining players would make a deal and our champion was Kirk Flom who earned $5,236 and the trophy!
