The difference between this tournament and all other that preceded it was that this tournament was a one-day event. It began at 2 p.m. and was finished 13 hours later. The final table was made 12 hours into the event and action really picked up.
Our first victim of the final table was Paul Fleck of Stockbridge, Georgia. For his efforts, Paul earned $956.

Trey Brabham got tangled up in a previous hand and was on the short stack as a result. Several hands later, Trey was all-in with Q-7 and got the call from Chuck Scandrett with K-Q. The board ran out 8-3-K-4-J and Trey Brabham of Austin, Texas, finished 6th earning $3,278.
On a flop of 9-2-7, Dave Burroughs checked over to Mike Tockgo, who moved all-in. Dave insta-called with pocket A’s versus the K-5 of Mike. The turn was a 3 and the river was a 5. Mike Tokgo finished 5th earning $3,961.
Our remaining 4 players decided to chop up the prize pool. Our 4th place finisher was Carl McGowan of Pearson, Georgia. For his efforts, Carl earned $4,644.
Our 3rd place finisher was Chuck Scandrett of Mequon, Wisconsin. Scandrett took away $6,009.
Our second place finisher was Dave Burroughs of Atlanta, Georgia. His take home pay was $10,243.
And our champion of this event was Manny Minaya of Tampa, Florida. Manny took home the trophy and $18,439.
